9Barista 53mm IMS Precision Basket

A 53mm I.M.S. precision basket to fit the 9Barista espresso machine.

The I.M.S. patented perforation technology guarantees a precisely circular hole with a cone shaped (non-pyramidal) cross section. The inner surface of the cone shaped hole is polished, leaving no edges or burrs. As a result, coffee oils flow through freely without obstruction, leading to a more consistent extraction across the whole basket.

Each 9Barista comes with a conventional 53mm basket as standard and we find these baskets produce excellent espresso. Some customers do report an improvement with these precision ones - so we have made them available as a separate upgrade.

9Barista is beautifully simple. It has no electronics and only one moving part.

The 9Barista espresso machine is a true innovation and a feat of coffee machine engineering.
