Water Level Probes
Water level probes are a simple yet important part of every espresso machine. This probe allows the autofill boards to know when the boiler needs to be filled in order to protect the element from burning out and keep the boiler at the optimum level. If the water level is set too low the machine temperature stability is affected even thought there is a greater amount of steam capacity in the boiler.. If the water level is too high, the machine becomes more temperature stable, however steam capacity is affected.. As such, water level becomes an important parts for the machine operation. All water probes are adjustable and allow the user to set the water at the desired level. A common cause of water probe failure is scale, and if this is an issue the water filter on the machine needs to be assessed.
