The Everpure 4CC replacement filter cartridge has been designed for problem-solving and special applications to increase water hardness. Applications: Problem-Solving and Special Application Cartridge for Extraordinary Water Conditions Features: Protects equipment by reducing the corrosive tendencies of low TDS content water. Increases water hardness by introducing a small amount of calcium carbonate minerals into low hardness/low TDS water. This controlled mineral addition is desirable for coffee and other applications that require some water hardness for optimal results.
