The bottomless filter holder (also called a 'naked' portafilter) has become an essential tool for baristas focused on quality extraction. The open-bottom design allows you to observe the extraction process directly, helping diagnose channeling, uneven tamping, or distribution issues that would otherwise remain hidden inside a traditional spouted portafilter.
