Coffee Machine Parts That Keep a Good Machine Running for Years
Espresso machine spare parts for home baristas and technicians across Australia, since 1999.
TL;DR: Coffee machine parts are replaceable components like group head gaskets, shower screens, vacuum breaker valves and grinder burrs. This range covers La Marzocco, Rocket Espresso, Mahlkönig EK43 and E65S.
A leaking group head, a portafilter that no longer locks tight, a grinder that has gone dull: these are the moments that bring people to this page. Coffee machine parts are how a well-built machine earns a second decade instead of a skip bin. We stock components for La Marzocco, Rocket Espresso, Rancilio, Vibiemme, Mahlkönig, Mazzer and more. Browse by home machine, by commercial machine, or by part type.
What we have learned from the parts that actually wear
The group head gasket is the part we replace more than any other. It compresses, hardens and eventually seeps. Sizing matters: our 72 x 55 mm gaskets come in 6.1 mm and 7.1 mm thicknesses to suit La Marzocco, Faema and Grimac groups, and a thicker seal is often chosen to compensate for wear on the group lugs. The Cafelat E61 gasket at 73 x 57 x 9 mm is made from food grade silicone, which does not bake rock hard the way rubber does, so it comes out cleanly at the next service.
Behind the gasket sits the shower screen. Uneven water distribution is a common cause of irregular extraction, which is why the Pesado High Diffusion screen, available to fit La Marzocco and E61 groups, is a popular upgrade rather than a like-for-like swap.
Valves, taps and the small seals that stop drips
A dripping steam or hot water tap is usually a worn seal, not a failed tap. The 10 x 5 mm silicone tap gasket fits Rocket Espresso and Vibiemme wands, and PTFE tap-rod seals cover the same job on other machines. On La Marzocco boilers, the L192.03 anti-suction vacuum breaker replaces the earlier L192.02 and L193.02; on a Linea Mini steam boiler it must be fitted with the current A.2.017 copper tube. We know these details because technicians ring us with them every week.
Grinders wear too. We stock replacement burrs from Mahlkönig 65 mm for the E65S and K30, Wega Mini Max 58 mm flats, and 98 mm EK43 sets from SSP and Alinox.
How to buy the right part first time
Most wrong-part orders come from guessing at a size. Before ordering, take the old part out and measure the outer diameter, inner diameter and thickness, because two gaskets that look identical can differ by a single millimetre and one of them will leak. If you have the manufacturer part code (an L192.03 valve or an NSE1410 diffuser flap, for example) search it directly; we list those codes on the product pages for exactly this reason.
Repair, service, or upgrade?
- Repair: one part has failed. Match brand, model and dimensions, then replace only what is worn. Group head seals, tap gaskets and vacuum breaker valves are the usual suspects.- Service: nothing has failed yet, but the machine is due. A service kit bundles the seals that harden together. The Rocket Espresso R Basic Service Kit for the Appartamento, Giotto Evo and Mozzafiato brings 21 components in one box, including the 8 mm group seal, shower, PTFE gaskets, EPDM and Viton O-rings and valve seals.- Upgrade: the machine works and you want more from it. High diffusion shower screens and alternative EK43 burr geometries live here, and Precision baskets sit in our accessories range.
Grinder wear: when burrs are the problem
Grind quality sets the ceiling on every shot, and burrs are the one grinder part that wears with every gram. Fresh burrs for a Mahlkönig E65S, a Wega Mini Max or an EK43 will usually do more for the cup than any accessory. For an EK43 you can choose between the SSP Red Speed cast iron set with its altered cutting geometry and the Swiss-made Alinox coated set. James Hoffmann, in How to Make the Best Coffee at Home, makes the case for cleaning out compressed grounds and washing an oily hopper regularly; that habit also tells you early when the burrs themselves are done.
Brands we do not cover here
This range is built around Italian and specialty machines and grinders. If you are searching for Delonghi coffee machine parts or nespresso spare parts, those internal components are supplied through the manufacturers, and we would rather say so than sell you something that does not fit. Our Breville range is accessories and add-ons rather than internal service parts.
Genuine, OEM and compatible
Many espresso machine builders assemble machines from specialist component makers, so the same anti-vacuum valve or pressurestat can appear across several brands. We import direct from those manufacturers, which is why some items are listed by dimension rather than by machine. Where a part is a branded original, such as the La Marzocco KB90 group gasket and anti-shock, we say so.
The Mahlkönig EK43 is the grinder Matt Perger borrowed mid-competition in Vienna in 2012 and won the World Brewers Cup with. Coffee Parts is one of Australia's largest EK43 retailers, which is why we carry both SSP Red Speed and Alinox 98 mm burr sets for it, and why the parts shelf for that grinder is never empty.
A new gasket fixes today's leak; two habits prevent the next one. First, water. Scale on elements and inside boilers is the failure we see most, so a water filter matched to your machine is the cheapest part you will ever buy. Second, cleaning. Regular backflushing with proper cleaning products keeps oils off the shower screen and out of the solenoid, and Hoffmann's advice on descaling with a mild citric acid solution applies to any brewer that runs on hard water. Do both and your service kits last longer between visits.
This is where Coffee Parts began. In 1999 my dad couldn't find seals for his 1961 Faema E61 anywhere in Australia, so he called family in Italy, the parts arrived, and friends heard about it. That machine is still in the family. Twenty-five years on, the technicians who service cafés across the country still call us first, and the same group gaskets that fit the Faema sit on this page. I have tested more of these parts on our own bench than I could count, and every one earned its place here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find spare parts for my espresso coffee machine? +
Right here. This range is organised three ways: by home machine brand (Rancilio, Rocket Espresso, Vibiemme, La Marzocco home models and more), by commercial brand (La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, Victoria Arduino, Slayer and others), and by part type such as group head seals, shower screens, pressurestats and burrs. If you know the manufacturer part code, search it directly. We import from the component makers and ship from Sydney.
What are the components inside an espresso maker called? +
The main serviceable components are the group head (where the portafilter locks in), the group head gasket or seal, the shower screen and diffuser, the boiler, the pump, the vacuum breaker or anti-suction valve, the pressurestat, solenoid valves, steam and hot water taps with their rod seals, and, on a grinder, the burrs. Our parts-by-category pages are named the same way so you can match a symptom to a part.
Is it worth fixing a coffee machine? +
For a prosumer or commercial machine, almost always. Most faults are worn consumables: a hardened group gasket, a tired tap seal, a stuck vacuum breaker. These are inexpensive components relative to the machine and are designed to be replaced. A well-built machine on filtered water can be serviced for decades. Entry-level appliance machines are a different calculation, because their internal components are often not sold separately.
Do you stock Breville or Delonghi replacement parts? +
Our Breville range is accessories and add-ons rather than internal service components, and we do not carry Delonghi or Nespresso internals; those are supplied through the manufacturers. This section focuses on Italian and specialty espresso machines and grinders where components are designed to be serviced and replaced.
How do I know which group head gasket fits my machine? +
Measure the old one: outer diameter, inner diameter and thickness. Our 72 x 55 mm gaskets come in 6.1 mm and 7.1 mm versions for La Marzocco, Faema and Grimac groups, while E61 groups take a 73 x 57 x 9 mm seal. If your portafilter has become loose, a slightly thicker gasket compensates for wear on the group lugs. Silicone seals stay pliable and are easier to remove than rubber at the next service.
When should grinder burrs be replaced? +
When the grind turns inconsistent, fines increase, dose times stretch or the coffee tastes flat despite a fresh bag. Burr life depends on volume and roast, so watch the symptoms rather than the calendar. We stock Mahlkönig 65 mm burrs for the E65S and K30, Wega Mini Max 58 mm flats, and SSP Red Speed and Alinox 98 mm sets for the EK43 and EK43s.
What comes in a Rocket Espresso service kit? +
The Rocket Espresso R Basic Service Kit for the Appartamento, Giotto Evo and Mozzafiato contains 21 components: a group shower, an 8 mm group seal, PTFE gaskets, EPDM and Viton O-rings, valve seals and related sealing parts for the group and the steam and water valves. The ECM/Rocket Espresso Giotto Basic Service Kit covers the same points for compatible ECM Giotto machines.
