Premium Filtration with KDF Scale Inhibitor
Unfiltered water contains chlorine, sediment, and scale-forming minerals, impacting beverage taste and equipment longevity. The Pentair Everpure 7CB5-K ensures high-quality water by:
- Reducing chlorine taste & odor for improved beverage quality.
- Filtering dirt & sediment down to 5 microns for cleaner water.
- Utilizing KDF® Media to inhibit microbial growth and reduce heavy metals.
- Minimizing limescale buildup to extend equipment lifespan and lower maintenance costs.
How It Works
The Everpure 7CB5-K features a **carbon block filtration system** combined with KDF® scale inhibitor technology:
- Carbon block filtration removes chlorine, improves taste, and polishes water.
- KDF® Media helps prevent microbial buildup and mitigates scale formation.
- Filters fine particulates to ensure consistent water clarity and performance.
Ideal Applications
- Vending machines & beverage dispensers
- Office coffee service (OCS)
- Foodservice applications
- Small-to-medium ice machines
Everpure 7CB5-K vs. 7CB5-S: Which One to Choose?
Both the 7CB5-K and 7CB5-S provide superior water filtration, but they use different scale control methods:
- Everpure 7CB5-K: Uses KDF Media to inhibit microbial buildup and control scale formation. Best for vending machines, office coffee systems, and low-heat equipment.
- Everpure 7CB5-S: Uses polyphosphate-based scale inhibitors, making it ideal for high-heat applications like espresso machines, boilers, and steam equipment.
Limescale Reduction & Equipment Protection
Why is KDF media less effective for high-heat applications? KDF media effectively inhibits microbial growth and reduces heavy metals, but it is less effective in extreme temperatures. Espresso machines and boilers require polyphosphate-based scale inhibitors (found in the 7CB5-S) for optimal scale prevention.
