Manual / Alternative Brewing Methods

If you’re new to coffee or a passionate enthusiast looking to expand some skills, we’ve got some info you are going to love. Alternative Brewing explains different ways of brewing your coffee and can open a new world of creative and delicious coffee creating!

Ok it’s time to begin brewing up something new and tasty. With the coffee industry constantly growing, it seems like there’s almost always a new style of brewing. There's a growing popularity for alternative brewing methods and they are starting to make a big appearance on the coffee scene in Australia.

Brew bars are becoming an integral part of speciality coffee scene as it’s a great way to experience the variety and quality from farm to farm, roaster and brew method. The most common methods has become the pour-over, however syphon and cold brews have also recently risen in popularity. And of course, the ever popular Aeropress!

Technically stovetops fall under the brew bar category, however I almost feel they deserve their own segment. The rise in brew bars has allowed the coffee experience to develop and extend from just espresso.

What style of alternative brewing do you enjoy the most? We’ve got all your brewing styles down pat whether you prefer black coffee like an Aeropress, Syphon, Batch Brew, French press, Chemex, Pour Over, Moka Pot or something a little cooler like a Cold Brew / cold drip!

If you prefer more of a milk based beverage (absolutely) you might pair your Portable Coffee with a manual Milk Frother from our range to get you that delicious creamy morning brew! Now of course we have everything you need to make your coffee experience the best it can be including, Coffee Scales , Pour Over Stands, Filters , Manual Grinders, Gooseneck Kettles, Coffee Servers and Cupping Tools and Coffee Cups if you’re into some taste testing! For our non- coffee drinkers we have a wide variety of Tea Gear which you’ll love! Happy brewing!
